Honestly great documentary; no commentary or whatever just an hour of interviews cut together well with basically everyone you could ask for giving contributions.
Some of my takeaways I don't want to forget.
First, can't believe Wan and Whannell are so Australian. I guess I knew that but that was the first revelation from the film for me. Other than that they both just seem like stand up guys. I'm glad Whannell kind of recognizes his performance wasn't the best while Wan just seems fun. But how they got this film off the ground is such a miracle and is frankly shocking.
Second, this reinforces to me how awesome Cary Elwes is, him talking about being unfamiliar with genre while also working with first time director/writer.
Third, I can't believe Shawnee Smith was sick the entire day she was on set because she makes such an impact and obviously returns so many times in the franchise.
Fourth, once again shows how great the score for the first film is.
