“in a perfect world absolutely..”
“well this should be a perfect world it’s my album”
YOU TELL THEM MONARCH
“my dad was an addict… I guess I always searched for what he found in drugs and alcohol because it fulfilled him… and he chose that over a family.”
from mental and physical abuse from her birth father, to developing depression and fantasizing about death, to having a SUICIDE PETITION about you being passed around school ???????? then devolving an ed…. to being thrown into the disney world and feeling immense pressure to be a “squeaky clean” and perfect happy role model while secretly trying to cope with her 20 obligations at once…. i mean i could never imagine. what a crazy culmination of things that would obviously make someone seek coping mechanisms in any form they could get.
it’s upsetting to take in that she would lie and fake drug tests and manipulate adults and her support system to believe that she was getting better although it was obvious to some she wasn’t… but the mind of an addict is unfortunately very complicated and old habits truly do die hard
it’s so crazy to hear that during her time as a judge on the voice she had no phone while living with roommates but every small step forward really makes a difference
the ending montage of fans covering stone cold was so cool
