A quirky and fun adventure through China with a beatiful backstory. The whole film is really beatiful and deep and almost fever dream like. The girl saying ”I love you big bird” at the end got me crying.

Overall, this is such a cute and comforting movie to watch. There’s Big Bird being absolutely clueless in China and it’s pretty funny on some things he says. I don’t know what’s up with Big Bird but he really likes Mao’s tomb. And there’s Barkley, a cute dog that follows him for some reason. The Monkey King is pretty cool to see. My favorite part though is whenever they sing the Nihao song because it’s so heartwarming.
