Oliver stands to inherit a large fortune from his rich Uncle Bernal, with the condition that he be happily married. But when Mrs. Hardy walks out just before Uncle Bernal is due for a visit, Stanley is pressed into duty (and into drag) to impersonate Oliver's loving spouse.

so what i got out from this short film from the late 1920s was it basically showing us what having a good friendship between two people is because if the person who calls themselves my fucking bestfriend didn't dress up in some drag to impersonate my wife who recently just left me so i could make a good impression on my extremely wealthy uncle so he could then put me in his will so that when that day comes and the man is no longer with us i could then inherit a very large sum of dollars from him to potentially live off for the rest of my life then is the person who claims to be my bestfriend even really worthy of that title if he doesn’t help with me becoming a rich man 🤷♂️
