Perhaps the best film at capturing American society's relationship with lesbians for decades as Mawra's film on the surface chastises the immorality of female homosexuals but really sells itself on the softcore pornography and lurid spectatorship of bedroom activities. Still, it is neither shockingly homophobic nor titillating enough to have a strong identity when viewed today. It's mostly silly with some truly bizarre claims about lesbian culture and a mixture of horribly amateur camerawork with actually stunning views of midcentury Greenwich Village at night. A curiosity maybe worth peeking into but clearly a product meant for immediate consumption.
