I watched this on the plane and you know what I got really into it.

It was fine. The acting was pretty good (the kid is good probably 75% of the time) and the pacing worked well, but it was hard to get into the kid's head. We mostly get everything from Cusack's perspective, but the kid is always distant and it's hard to grow attached to him when his character doesn't make a lot of sense. Still, it's kind of funny and it hits the emotional notes effectively.
