At the end of this film we see our 5 main characters taking a photo together, smiling, living happily ever after. Two of whom spent the entire film trying to seduce an engaged man, one having a boyfriend and the other sexually assaulting him on screen twice, another who I’m 90% sure is a pedophile and a man who was villainised the entire movie for trying to destroy their childhood diner and having no redemption arc whatsoever. And then there’s Archie, who started the film as an engaged man about to move to a new city, spends an hour and a half deciding who he wants to cheat on his fiancé with, only to end up lonely, homeless and still trying to decide between Veronica and Betty. Strong lessons to be learned here.
