Nowhere near as good as the original film, but not bad either. Quite frankly, by itself it’s actually pretty good. Now, where they got the extra hour from is beyond me - seriously this is way too unnecessarily long - there’s simply far too much filler. Also why is this called “The Musical” when the original film is a musical? The redundancy is hilarious.

Missed the first twenty minutes of this so they might have included my favourite scene but as I didn’t get to see it I am bitter and this will unfortunately affect my rating.

You know from the get go tht this show is going to have beautiful cheoreograpy, and it absolutely does that. I will never stop being impressed by dancers on pointe it truly is a superhuman skill in my eyes. What did surprise me where the rest of the performances and script, which really delve into the world at a deeper level than I was expecting. It ends up being a really fantastic production and filmed wonderfully. Of course I can’t unsee that the actor playing Jerry Mulligan is the same actor to play Munkustrap in Cats
