I love these guys a lot, and their chemistry is undeniable, but this is pretty messy. There are some funny jokes in here, although a lot of them are actually taken from speeches at award ceremonies that they have done in the past. The musical stuff, while feeling a little random and sort of out of place, is very fun and enjoyable, but a lot of the actual comedic material is pretty weak unfortunately. There isn’t even much actual material in this special honestly. A lot of the set consists of the pair looking at pictures or telling stories with little to no cohesion and a lot of stalling in between bits. I adore Steve Martin and him and Martin Short make a fantastic duo, this is just not some of the pair’s better work.
