Feels just like an old hollywood classic. Lots of expressive theatricality mixed with really strong editing makes for great comedic timing. I love those little allegorical shots of the ducks so much. It adds so much character to the film. The story is simple but it's familiar and recognizable Romeo and Juliet structure works perfectly for strengthening the quaint and cozy vibes that the small Dutch town creates.
