An enjoyable adaptation of the Jekyll and Hyde story, though the plot was a bit dull—which is, of course, understandable given the era in which it was filmed. I really loved the sets; they make me want to visit a world that no longer exists, and that’s a W for the film. But I can’t help the stupid ending—the last 5 minutes of the film felt like they were rushed because they were running out of film and money (I’d bet a lot of money that’s exactly what happened). Also, fuck that bloodthirsty, rebellious, nosy enlightener Russeau
