This gave me a headache

I wanted to watch this again because last time I watched it I got a bit distracted and wasn’t understanding it properly then I realised that it was plot itself that I didn’t understand it was not put together well at all it is very confusing. The way the director  tried to tie in the story of Jacob’s grandmother didn’t work well, Christine was very ableist saying the R word multiple times, there was casual anti semitism & internalised transphobia. The director  really should of done more with Jacob’s identity I do feel that he was a trans girl but didn’t want to admit it due to transphobia. I would like to see a remake of this movie with a better director because this movie has potential to be really good.

also, there was weirdly sexual and off-putting dialogue and moments displayed in the film between 2 of the underaged actors, plus that together with the.. final scene, and I’m genuinely concerned. yeah I looked it up thinking MAYBe just maYbe theyre actually older than they look but no they’re children. is that allowed.. is that allOwed @hollywood
