Dancing at Lughnasa

The movie was overall pretty boring, and i didn’t understand the plot or point of this movie. But meryl streep was so beautiful like always, so that’s plus points 🥰 I really liked the dancing part, but that’s mostly it.. The ending was so confusing, but very bittersweet 💗 and yeah, wtf they sung the song used in my great grandmother’s funeral, so that’s something i won’t forgive them for 😞😞

Brian Friel’s original stage play is one of the great Irish plays and is truly masterful. This adaption is fine but misses some of the magic of the original.
