I don't watch anything Bollywood very often, as I prefer Tamil and Telugu movies, but I absolutely love Stree and have done so since the first watch.
The plot had the potential to be extremely problematic and goofy, but it was executed fairly well. I loved the supernatural witch element and the story behind her, and how such an old tale still had such a big impact on the people of Chanderi in the present. There was a great contrast between the more modern youngsters and the older, more superstitious population, and how despite their differences everyone was united by the same fear. The dialogue is a huge reason why the film is good; it's perfectly witty and the jokes translate beyond Hindi. There's also awesome chemistry between the main characters, which makes their zingers work very well. I love the soundtrack and editing, and overall the technical aspects of the film are really good. The only issue I have is the ending; it just doesn't make sense at all, but I guess it's setting up the premise for the sequel, though it's a little odd.
Most of the cast was excellent, with the main trio and Pankaj Tripathi especially standing out the most for their fantastic performances. Shraddha Kappor was decent, but definitely not anything to write home about.
All in all, Stree is always a good time, and if anyone wants to delve into Bollywood, I'd definitely recommend giving this a go.
