man what i love about these short silent films from back then was sure they were ones that were a runtime of about 20 to 26 minutes long for each of them but even though they were relatively short they had stories that were jampacked with all sorts of chaotic things going on in them with the one i just sat and watched today be packed with a birthday going on in it then we’re brought with some romance going on with charlie chaplin’s character who we see want to win the heart of some woman’s but it doesn’t work out for him because the woman doesn’t take him seriously and trashes the flowers and letter he gave to her and then we get a entire sequence of the bank that charlie works out being robbed by this group of men who end up taking the woman that charlie is infatuated with hostage which then see charlie being her hero and recusing her and the bank from the group of men with it ending with the woman then falling in love with charlie after the whole incident but then we then come to find out that the whole sequence that happened at the bank was a dream sequence that charlie chaplin had to make himself feel better after having just been rejected by that very woman which when looking at it is very hilarious how enamored this man was with her still such a fun and enjoyable one for me.
