This is the kind of movie, the teacher puts on in class and everyone starts laughing whilst you sink into your chair and immediately ask yourself 2 questions. First, why the fuck is everybody laughing?? Second, why am I sitting alone?
Yes pun intended, I'm satirically making fun of my own opinion.
I'm just not a fan of slapstick humour, and/or physical comedy.
The stairs sequence almost had me roll my eyes, it was basically unbearable for me.
However, the more I thought about the scenes, the more I could appreciate them. Especially Charlie Chaplin's acting & stunts, mad respect for him. There were also some other impressing features like the rotating bed or the swinging clock. Nice craftsmanship and props for this short.
