chuck schuldiner is one of a very little amount of singers that incredibly inspire me. he seemed like such a beautiful and loving person. he fired people often yes BUT he had a vision and I do think the band members respected that. he wanted each album different and he definitely succeeded. whenever I listen to scream bloody gore all the way to the sound of perseverance it just totally blows my mind. his vocals are insane, the lyrics are so powerful, and the fucking riffs are crazy. it is everything I truly love about death metal. I also really love that chuck wasn’t really one of those metalheads that are really into dark stuff including satanism. he loved life, animals, music, and his family.
