25th MIFF "LISTAPAD": film #5
"If you're scared, just close your eyes."
Thailand cinema is unique to say the least, it's very pensive and dreamy and always feels like a folktale. Manta Ray is kind of impressive but also it's very vague and without a good knowledge about Thailand is hard to fully understand it, even after the director of the film tried to explain some things about it during Q&A there are still more questions than answers, and it wouldn't be a problem if I did feel the film, but unfortunately I didn't.
