See i myself as a gay male found this short little documentary to be such an interesting watch for me because i just loved seeing all these older group of gay men all come together to talk and reminisce about their youthful days back in the 1970s and how them and all the other gay men lived their own lives through those times that weren’t really some of the best years for queer people to live through because of all the very hatred they were faced with and just all these disgusting things that others would link to gay men that were such negative things to make the queer community out to be this awful and just disease infested group of people which is so disheartening to hear because any human being could have gotten those various diseases it didn’t matter if you were heterosexual or homosexual but enough about that i’d also love to talk about seeing and hearing about all these wonderful little clubs that so many gay men could go to see other gay men just like them to casually hookup with or just have a great time with and even though these very clubs were being raided by the police constantly i still loved the fact that queer men and other queer people had these safe spaces to be themselves with others just like them because that’s exactly what so many queer beings needed in that very time was a sort of community where they weren’t judge and could be their authentic selves but the last thing i’d like to say is that even back then the gays were really just fucking anywhere they could like they was doing it at piers, abandoned buildings and even in the back of these big ole trucks like and even to this day none of that has ever changed because gays still today be fucking at the most random places you could think of someone ever having sex at and that just has let me a little giggle but this was truly such a beautiful documentary and definitely recommend other queer men to sit through and watch it 💗
