God I hate trump for so many reasons, reasons much more significant than this one. But the fact that I have to suffer half a year without football because of him makes me so mad. That iteration of the USFL is probably the only chance we ever had at an alternative league. Greedy fucking jerk.
Jeff Perlman has a really great book about the subject if you’re interested called “football for a buck” which I think does a better job explaining the complicated nature of the bullshit Trump was trying to pull. This documentary is fine just light.
