“Everyone cries when they make movies.”Now.. never thought I’d say this.. but this should’ve had some studio interference!
Exactly the same problem as his other movie (In The Family); Both have interesting themes, compelling characters and they’re pretty experimental and different. But wow if the pacing, in both, wasn’t just absolutely atrocious! The amount of fluff really got to me this time, this is just part one! It wastes your time and many scenes just. NEVER .FUCKING. ENDS!
It comes down to the direction, what Director think a story about a community theatre fighting change, should be told in this way? What compels someone to leave in all of this unnecessary shit?
I kinda want to watch Part 2, but it feels more like a chore than anything else now.. This story should not be 4-hours long! This should’ve been something like 90 minutes! And it would’ve been absolutely amazing!
