I was once very religious (now an atheist). Back then, whenever I felt nervous or faced a problem, I would pray, and afterward, I’d feel better. During those times, praying was the only way I felt like someone was there, listening to me. I hoped that the "big sky man" was out there and would do something about it.
It's interesting to see the different perspectives on why people talk to Jesus or God—(A hour and 27 minutes of people talking to a wall). Just like me back then, praying gives them the comfort they need; it allows them to express their true feelings and believe that someone is listening without judgement, that they are being undestood. But if they had people who genuinely cared, listened, and remained open to them, would they still turn to the "sky guy"? If they were willing to talk things out and solve their problems, would they still go to church and ask God for help? It's crazy to think I used to be like that.
Anyway, the movie was boring but had a nice ambiance. A good film to fall asleep to. There’s a special sense of peace and calmness I feel when I’m inside a church (even as an atheist), and watching this dull film gave me the same feeling. Zzzzzzzzzz Yap fest
