I am watching this movie against my will and would not watch it in other circumstances. It’s a classic cheesy Christmas romance movie with many classic elements but the most creative twist they could come up with is a haha quirky female cop falls for Hispanic man with a dark past. Along with the awkward at dating trope, there’s the horny best friends who always “know someone”, where one or more are poc (in this case both), one is flamboyantly gay, and the “oh my god I trusted you” type of scene. This movie feels like one of those dating simulation games that requires real money to progress anywhere with the “sweet innocent girl falls for mafia type, leather jacket wearing bad boy” point. Id recommend this to my worst enemies but I know they at least have the brains to not watch this terrible movie.
