This is exactly the retro anime I love best. A smorgasbord of bad assery and non stop visual dynamism. The aesthetic of this, like many of its peers, is distinct. I have a great mixture of love and nostalgia for all the ingredients mixed into this hyper violent, demonic martial arts space sheriff extravaganza.
I would actually rank this higher than some of the more well known flicks of the same era.
