There is potential with the plot and the acting is actually pretty okay, but unfortunately, the tail end is super boring and they don't really do much with the premise. The fish out of water stuff dries up real quick and then we putter about until the ending. The story they give us doesn't really make much sense and I'm not sure what the real purpose of the journey to 1776 was in the first place. It's nebulous and I'm not sure how what they really accomplished. There were a handful of funny parts, but it's mostly just dull. The Brady Bunch Movie does the opposite idea (the Brady Family still being stuck in the 70's but in a 90's world) and does it much better.
