These Czech animated childrens films never cease to amaze me with how they decide to tackle certain subject matter. Mortality and death is treated with such gravitas and respect while still being digestible for a young person to understand. The idea of nature not being fixed but rather something that is transmutable is wonderful and goes a long way towards building empathy within a person at a young age
