A made-for-TV thriller that feels exactly like a made-for-TV thriller. Who would’ve guessed? 🤷🏻♂️
Forest Whitaker does his best to play the role with a straight face, but… man. Is this really what audiences wanted in 1994? I would’ve been six years old, so what do I know. Still, it feels like rent was due and everyone needed a paycheck.
As an HBO original, it’s almost ironic how much this resembles a Netflix original. In other words—unless it’s for a review—I won’t be revisiting this one anytime soon.
