A looooow budget attempted re-boot of the franchise that attempts a Danny McBride Halloween style legacy cameo. Oh and a good Critter just like Gizmo (with none of the cuteness).
Drea (Tashiana Washington) is peeved about not getting into her Mom’s Alma Mater, taking a stray baby sitting job in an attempt to curry favour with with the college dean. She takes the kids on a picnic, they adopt the good Critter, the bad Critters come looking for it, chaos ensues, they do the giant Critter ball thing again and it runs someone over and that is pretty much the only decent scene in the entire movie.
Funded by SYFY, filmed in Souf Effrica and written by noted Comic scribe Scott Lobdel who did a lot of decent X-Men stuff in the 90s including the first 28 issues of Generation X.
