Director- Kabir Khan.I have seen six of his films, and this is my second time watching this one. It still stands in the rewatch.The film is based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup. This is the most important tournament in the history of Indian cricket, as it was here where it all began. It was here that India finally managed to accomplish something in the sport on a scale that the rest of the world could do nothing else but notice us.The film is filled with easter eggs such as the passport scanning scene and one scene where we see the real Kapil Dev sitting in the stands when the event of Kapil Dev scoring the highest individual score in ODI cricket at the time, and the highest score by an Indian captain in a World Cup, was being shown.The film also gives us a lot of motivational moments, such as the scene where Kapil Dev explains why he cleans his shoes with newspapers, citing that it is just noise.The film also shows us the hardships the team had to face towards their journey to winning the World Cup.The acting by the main crew is superb, and their character traits are shown well too.Overall, this film is still a good watch.
