It’s great to see the bones of Rock n Rule hiding underneath this film. The love for music and the fluid animation - especially for the Devil - are incredible. It’s simple and sweet, repeating the plot of selling a soul to the devil. However, that’s fable given flesh. Why be to harsh on that if it’s not egregiously awful or annoying? Animation continues to be the best filmic medium for song
