The movie concept is interesting, but it kinda was doomed from the beginning with the script. The main character at the end becomes the irrelevant side character. I have no interest in rooting for her—at least not alone. If it was her and Derek that would be interesting at least. It all just goes to shit after Miriam dies, and the random love story with her (although cool, there’s representation) is such a throwaway. It was just a disappointment start to finish. It could’ve been so good. It’s a cool concept with potential. It’s just what they did with it was not ideal. I think it would’ve also been interesting if the teens had a Dexter approach to it all. But it is what it is.
