After watching this film, I am longing to be a child in New Zealand in 1974. The outfits were fierce, the nature was beautiful, and there was no such thing as Letterboxd. In other words, it was the good old days.
I likely would not have watched Holy Days if I were scrolling around on a streaming platform. However, since it was playing at a theatre near my house, I checked it out! I’m glad I did.
Holy Days was charming and nostalgic. The cinematography is gorgeous, and it was well acted. I want to befriend a convent of nuns and go on adventures.
