if you’re aware of what dean and jerry were going through behind the scenes at this time, you’d realize this film goes beyond just the script. jerry had a hand in writing it, and i can’t help but feel some of the lines were crafted as a way to communicate with his partner without confrontation. he even chose to name his character jerry! he wanted to hear dean praise his comedic ability, even if it was fake. i wish dean and jerry had a happy ending 💔
