Good for them for trying!! 59 is pretty early on to attempt a sci-fi joint like this and I had a blast with it!! Ishiro Honda is the king of early Japanese sci-fi

Okay, so this is TECHNICALLY a sequel to The Mysterians because of the inclusion of one character, played by a different actress, who never references the events of the first film. I guess if the Godzilla movies aren’t going to acknowledge the previous alien invasions every time a new one comes along, I shouldn’t have expected this one to.

Can’t believe I forced myself to watch this because it’s tangentially related to a film that is tangentially related to Godzilla. Something is deeply wrong with me, but no one will ever help because no one will ever read a review of the 1959 Japanese sci-fi film Battle in Outer Space.
