usually when i watch a short film and think at the end "man, i wish that was longer!" it's because i felt like something was missing from the story that would've been better executed with a longer time frame. but from the sunshine-hued curly cues of of the title page to the gloomy spotlights of its penultimate shots, Reminiscences of the Green Revolution never fell short of being engrossing or fulfilling. i wish it was longer because these characters that i only knew for about 15 minutes had already pulled me so close into their orbit. i felt their heartbreak, their passion, their joy. i wanted to feel more of it! i wanted to linger in this past formatted for the silver screen like i was the dead one, looking for a place to hang out.
