This movie was exactly what I thought it would be but also not?
It’s a beautiful film (then again all Italian films are beautiful to me) I just don’t understand what it’s trying to show the audience, forbidden love? In a way it isn’t but also is, it’s more one sided from how I see it. Tragedy? Yes but also no? At the end yes but it was so out of nowhere.
I got recommended this thinking it was similar to Cmbyn, and while watching all I thought was “Is this how people view Cmbyn?” If it is I’m questioning if I’m just being biased.
Maybe if it was in David’s pov I would have appreciated it better? Because it’s in Mattheo pov and he just seems like a creep💀 but I did enjoy the film. I just wished they’d really explored more on the aspect of David and Mattheo illicit “love” affair.
