Somehow the confrontation with Dr. Raichi was really underwhelming. It’s kinda cool that they wanted to explore the background between the Tuffles and the Saiyans, but everything else was kinda lackluster.

I know that this OVA is about Tuffles vs. Saiyans, but putting Piccolo in the sidelines was cold.

So Piccolo joining in with the Saiyans in the beam clash leads to this?? Goku uses the Spirit Bomb as a SSJ?? I guess they’re following the logic from the Super Android 13 movie.

Kinda cool to see the aftermath of those events though with everyone chilling.

Damn it’s been over 10 years since my friend shared me a pirated version of this OVA, in anticipation of the remake for Raging Blast 2. I haven’t watched it since.

Part 1:
This is a pretty decent start. The monsters aren’t very great, except for the one that interacted with those landmines lmao.

The premise in the beginning where they can’t use Ki attacks was such a good approach. Making use of past villains, and hinting their spiritual revenge was also a good conclusion. Was not a fan of how they were defeated, and then done with (although Piccolo and Gohan killing ghost Slug was pretty cool)
