Look, I have been enjoying seeing Liam Neeson take on all these action roles since he starred in Taken. He's definitely shown us that he's not one-dimensional, as he can star in a fast-paced thriller and still make a huge impact. But Made in Italy reminded me that I have missed him in a more laid-back, scaled-down dramatic role.
This little film is nothing special and sometimes is a borderline soap opera, but it is well-structured with a simple script and likeable, relatable characters. If you've seen the trailer or just looked at the poster, then the outlines of the story become predictable, but still enjoyable to see played out.
