Great animation about an extremely relevant topic, but the analogies and metaphors are so many, so forced and so superficial that it almost looks like a parody, it's hard to take it seriously. I can't decide whether that last shot is so strong it's moving or just straight disrespectful (probably the latter).

A ship docks as a guy yaps… what waste of three minutes. 

Oats Studios, and Neill Blomkamp’s career in general, started out as such a strong voice in original, independent, and substantial sci-fi filmmaking. But as time went on, we got lost in the sauce, caring more about showcasing VFX, creating more lore behind the scenes that showcasing it on the screen, and obsessing over the crowdfunding of independent art. 

It’s a shame, because Blomkamp is an inspiring filmmaker to me. Shame it ended up with him just being a concepts guy who makes quick shorts where I feel nothing. I’ve liked TikToks that leave more of an impact.

En fait j'aimais pas trop au début parce que ça parlait de 2 trucs en même temps (changement climatique + immigration) avec des animaux comme protagonistes et j'avais l'impression que c'était un peu le bordel, mais finalement j'ai été un hater c'est bien effectué même si j'aime pas le style visuel 3d-mais-veut-faire-croire-que-c'est-du-stop-motion mais en vrai vu ce qu'il se passe aux États Unis en ce moment et même dans les pays occidentaux en général c'est vraiment important de montrer que c'est horrible ce traitement, la fin est super

seriously though, there was a promising strong start on trying to shed light on important topics happening around our world but it all felt weird to me, especially at the end. animation was lovely though!
