as a survivor of the troubled teen industry myself (about just 60 miles from provo canyon), it took me a long time to gather the courage to watch. while it’s far from perfect, it shines a light on a topic i once believed i would never get justice for and that alone is something so validating. i can’t wait for the day these sadistic fucked up “schools” finally come to an end and i’ll be thanking paris when they do.
