I absolutely adore the show and it's universe and this animated movie is another amazing addition to it with decent animation and the same vibe

The action was well done and some of the character designs were cool but sadly that's all the positives I have for this piece of shit thing.
The cheap CG animation was awful, the story was derivative and reuses tropes from better anime and even the actual Altered Carbon show, there are no real plot twists that you don't see from a mile away, I repeat, the animation is fuck ugly and only really acceptable in the action scenes. And worst of all probably, it's entirely executed without the irony or camp of the original show, making it just boring. All the traidmarked traits of a Netflix Original anime...
In the end it's short and mostly inoffensive but why was this made?
