I feel like this is a subtle Bruceploitation especially with the fight scenes. You have the choreography being sped up to look quick and men for some reason fighting with their shirt off. And to top off the no shirts, the main character puts water on his body to look sweaty or something.
This is just a fun time, it’s ridiculous take on horror comedy for sure and it took some time for Hong Kong filmmaking to perfect their own style but this wasn’t a bad attempt. How they attempt goofy comedy will always be a guilty pleasure for me. Everything that happens is all over the place but it’s an enjoyable mess.
