Good suspenseful film from Mexico dealing with corruption in the police and kidnappings of influential people told in two separate but connected stories.
Some nice techniques used in the filming of it and the raw underexposed gritty feel of the film has been used before to capture the Mexican landscapes of the poorer side of the country.
All this goes on during the World Cup 2010 and is prevelant throughout but not in a way that is detrimental to the film (I can't stand football so i can say that it doesn't negativiley impact on the movie)
It's a long film at 2hrs and 13 mins and even though it is a slowly paced film, the suspense keeps you interested.
Pay close attention to what is going on as there is a twist that I think I might understand better if I come to watch it again.
Recommended if you like Elite Squad, Traffic and most films with a political message.
