Written as a standard buddy dramedy, the chemistry and performances of Willie, Kristofferson, and Rip Torn along with a deep sense of melancholy permeating through the background and an amazing soundtrack really make this a cut above. I also might be biased as I am Willie Nelson’s #1 fan.
