It’s just brilliant from start to finish. One of the most legendary British casts + hardy Kruger I’ve ever seen and it elevates this movie like no other. Andrew V. McLaglen is no stranger to these ‘race-against-time’ thrillers but his directing ability covers all bases here, from the overpowering sarcasm to the badass action sequences, all of which fit this kind of flick absolutely. It’s just so cool. Every time I rewatch this film, I always seem to forget how much characterisation there is and I saw it last night more than I’d ever seen it before. I won’t go into details to retain from spoilers and a review that would go on for hours, but certain arcs and qualities are displayed in the writing that really seems to get lost in the praise for this film when I do think it holds a valuable part of the story.
However the film has aged in your view, it still means the world to me.
Kinda glad I was brought up with films like these instead of marvel or smth
