This is really enjoyable for such a low budget flick. Genuine performances, some fun camerawork, and I liked the goofy soundtrack too. The narrative gives the lead a good amount of depth. It’s a pretty well-done representation of a gay character and his boyfriend. Plus their relationship is super cute, the actors have great chemistry.
The voiceover and some of the editing hinder this a bit, but for what it is, I’m impressed! It’s got the action, romance, cheese, and a little family drama. As cheesy as Raising Heroes may be, it’s good representation and good entertainment. I hope more people check it out.
