sometimes this movie manages to be so bad it’s funny, but for the most part it’s just horribly boring. i actually tend to enjoy horror movies that are just gratuitously gory, which is what i expected this to be, considering the premise, but this movie almost totally lacks any kind of gore. it’s all just boring conversations, boring flashbacks, boring exposition. there’s an (unnecessary) sexual assault scene that’s more graphic than any of the “torture.” unmemorable characters, stupid plot and an even more stupid final twist.
