I will say that the thing that intrigued me was the fact that the main antagonist's look was totally ripped off from KISS's Demon. But to my amusement this was a decent messy written martial arts film. The story makes it hard to follow and make sense with but luckily this carries a great score and aesthetic. The world building is reminiscent of the 70s-80s fantasy films but in a more mesmerizing and cheap charm. Some shots in this film are beautiful as well although I can't say the same about the editing. I do admire them going for a horror mystery route for this film rather than straight action and drama as most Hong Kong martial arts movies go. I mean if you like high flying nonsensical adventures, then this film is worth the watch since it includes all of the fun nonsense you'd expect.
