I’ve made myself a 40+ list of movies to watch this month.. But I saw a TikTok last night about this Soviet anthology series and so I’m basically doing side-quests by this point.
Some decent storytelling the one where the girl outsmarts the dude was the best, Polina was awesome. The other really interesting one is pretty much a Soviet version of all those American movies where the white teacher goes into a black low-income neighbourhood, just more Industrially inclined. I kinda dozed off half-way through but I did like parts of it!
Overall,
Very different from your typical American mini series with the same subject matter. The approach to working class life was interesting and they all told a unique story.
