Works when discussing the classics, glosses over the decade with the most anthologies, and then chomps on a big mudpie of product placement towards the end. The Covid constraints provide a breadth of talking heads and some dull/ugly visuals and audio. They didn’t get the rights to show footage from some of the movies. There’s just a lot of tough breaks that make the whole thing sloppy but the real disservice is any comparison to Woodlands Dark And Days Bewitched. That doc looks great, features thoughtful and academic commentary, and services a huge number of films. I’m not coming out of this one with a single anthology hidden gem to track down.
